كل سنه و أنت طيبه .. الصوره حلوه أوي كلها كراكيب زي ما تكون هي دي صورة الروبابيكيا اللي أقصدها اللي هي صندوق الحاجات الغريبه اللي محدش يفهم قيمتها غيرك الصور الصغيره (ذكرياتك الصغيره و صور من مواقف في حياتك ) العود الصغير (الأغاني التي تحبينها ) و باب مقفول ... ممكن يتفتح بس لو الذكريات ممكن الواحد يتخلي عنها و ده طبعا مستحيل ... جزء من متناقضات الحياه اللانهائيه ... اللي فعلا عمرها ما هتنتهي أبدا طول ما أحنا عايشين لأننا بنحقق جزء منها ... جزء من المتناقضات جوا ك واحد فينا شرفتيني بالزياره و الصوره دي حلوه أوي عملت معايا لغة تصوير بجد و خلتني أبعبر و اقول هاني جورج
3ashan this time of year is all about, old stuff, new stuff, resolutions, souvenirs, decisions, and warmth, and i find that in this photograph, plus i'm in it!!
Makes me feel a bit nostalgic too, and that's how i feel around christmas and new year.
I've been with a friend of mine roaming down town and mansheya, she was working on those old places, dating them and...etc While i had my camera, this is "cap d'or" or "al sheikh ali", it's in an alley in Salah Salem st, it's an old greek bar and restaurant.
It's a very interesting place, i've just spotted the mirror and i decided to put myself in a special place in a natural way.
And there i am, i've set my shutter speed, made the lens wide open, focused and bang!
If you want more about the place, it's dated to 1902, beyond the closed door, there used to be a market, people bought their food and drinks and were able to cook your meal.
A waiter or some people say he was a begger called Ali, bought the place whent eh greek owner was on the verge of leaving the country, like most of the places around.
I'd upload the version of this picture with less contrast as if a layer of dust is covering it, but people wouldn't appreciate that.
